Adrian Hill
Sundays 10am-2pm
Hello I’m Adrian Hill, your Sunday Brunch host here at 98.1 WJJR. I’m a born and raised Vermonter and a true local boy growing up just South of Rutland in North Clarendon. A proud graduate of Mill River Union High School class of 1995.
I have Beckers Muscular Dystrophy and can often be seen rolling around town in my wheelchair especially if there is a band playing music downtown or any place accessible.
My fascination and love of music and communications started as a child hearing the original War of the Worlds radio play and only grew being a part of the AV crew at Mill River getting to work with Mike Valentine at PEG-TV producing our show MRU-TV.
Though not a musician I have had a lifelong passion for music. I did play trumpet in the marching band at Mill River just not well enough to call myself a music maker so now I am happy to be a music enjoyer and player here at WJJR.
I attended Castleton State College attaining a communications Degree in 2007. I get to say that I was a student of WJJR’s own Terry Jaye and now happy to get to call him a colleague. Growing up here Terry Jaye’s voice is part of the soundtrack to my life.
I love rocking out to some live music in my spare time. Most the people that I call friends are artists and local musicians, so if it's a concert I am more than likely there.
Also, I am a huge sci fi nerd and I don’t play favorites, I enjoy both Star Wars and Star Trek equally. Same goes for Marvel and DC comics although X Men is an all-time favorite. And actually, being an old school horror fan I am a huge fan of EC comics that published the old Tales from the Crypt and Witches' Cauldron.
I am more than happy to be a part of the gang here at WJJR. I've always said that a radio job is great for a wheelchair user it's just as easy to roll up to a microphone and at least my voice is still going strong.
