When I saw a preview for the new "Wolf Man" movie, I knew it wasn't going to be great. I knew I was going to watch it for a podcast discussion, but my podcast partner and I were both kind of dreading it. Still I went in with an open mind.
When the movie started, I saw text open the film with amazing landscapes of New Zealand and interesting text which indicated that the prologue takes place in 1995 and there was a disease called "Hill Fever" but the natives referred to the "illness" as something else which was translated to: "The Face Of The Wolf"! A much better title! Since this "Wolf Man" was apparently a remake of the 1941 classic, I was confused because this opening had nothing to do with the Universal Monsters original! As the film progressed there was nothing indicating that this had anything to do with the 1941 Wolf Man film. "The Face Of The Wolf" would've been a better title. Although that wouldn't have made the movie any better. The film had potential plot points that seemed interesting but none of them (or any plot in the film) were fully developed! The movie was a complete mess from start to finish!
