It's been a while since we've had a "Valentine's Day" themed horror film (At least in this decade). Cue Josh Ruben's new romantic comedy/slasher film, "Heart Eyes" now playing in theatres! This is the perfect date movie for Valentine's Day.

If you aren't too demanding on your cinema, then "Heart Eyes" won't be that bad when it comes to date night time filler. Very simple plot involving a love jaded ad executive who's forced to join forced with the man of her dreams to salvage her job, all the while a masked serial killer is stalking and killing couples around "Valentine's Day". It's a very predictable film for sure but again, harmless time filler. I think the film would've worked out better if they did something similar to "Shaun Of The Dead". The movie felt longer because you'd have an element of horror then a romantic comedy scene, then a horror scene, then some romance, comedy, etc. If you've seen 'Shaun Of The Dead", you know exactly what I'm referring to!
