Another "All Time Favorite" movie List

Movies are like art, they're subjective. Whenever I see an "All-Time Favorite Movie" list, I chuckle because I think they're silly, but yet it gives me the excitement to share the films that are always at the top of my head!

If you want to see their list, then click here! I'm going to share some of mine and will follow their rules: Films I've seen more than three times and not tired of, I've seen between 38-50 times, can recite some of the film by heart, some could be considered "guilty pleasures" and have watched daily. The films on their list that I would acknowledge as amongst my favorites are "The Wizard Of Oz", "The Godfather", "Indiana Jones", "E.T." & maybe "Back To The Future".

By the way, this list is no order and are just a few from my top 250 list:

"Raging Bull" (1980) - One of many Martin Scorsese masterpieces! Not a huge De Niro fan anymore, but there's no denying that this is one of the greatest performances and biopics of all time!  Click here to watch the preview!

"The Good, The Bad & The Ugly" (1966)- I can't count how many times I've seen this Leone masterpiece since the age of seven! Eastwood learned a lot of filmmaking techniques from Sergio Leone! Click here to watch the preview!

"Seven Samurai" (1954)- One of the fastest paced films of all time (and the film is almost 3.5 hours long!!!). I saw the re-make, "The Magnificent Seven" from 1960 first and while that film is fantastic, it can't even hold a candle to Akira Kurosawa's masterpiece! This film also inspired Pixar's "A Bug's Life" FYI! Click here to watch the preview (and don't let the subtitles scare you!)

"2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)- When I was ten or eleven years old I saw this Kubrick masterpiece for the first time and was blown away then and still am these decades later. I watch this film at least once a year! See it on the big screen if it comes around again! Click here to watch the preview!

"The 39 Steps" (1935)- This film (like most Hitchcock films) seems to get better & better with each viewing! An incredible & seamless blend of suspense, comedy & a bit of romance, this is the quickest 86 minutes ever! A real treat from start to finish! Click here to watch the preview!

"Thief Of Bagdad" (1940)- Another film I've seen countless times since I was a boy. As a matter of fact, this masterful fantasy/musical brings out the kid in me every time I re-visit it! Click here to watch a preview!

"Metropolis" (1927)-Another childhood discovery and one I re-visit every year! This film is almost 100 years old and it still blows my mind! I say this every time: "How Did They Do That"!? Even the two shorter cuts are mind-blowing! I'd suggest the 2.5 hour version though! Click here to watch the preview!

"The Searchers" (1956)- This is still my favorite John Wayne performance & one of my favorite John Ford films! The importance of family, consequences of living a particular lifestyle, the danger of revenge, obsession & racism still rings true nearly 70 years later! Click here to watch a preview!

"The Seventh Seal" (1957)-One of the most influential films & perhaps one of the most humorous one to deal with death! So iconic and epic in every way! Click here to watch a preview!

"King Kong Vs. Godzilla (1962-1963)-I've seen the English dub countless times since I've been a kid and it's one of the very few dubbed films I enjoy! I still prefer the Japanese version as it fleshes out the story, satire and humor much better! If you're a fan, you HAVE TO watch both versions! Click here for a preview!
By the way, the original 1933 "King Kong" & the original 1954 Japanese "Godzilla" still pack a might punch!

I could go on & on, but these are a sample of my favorites! I hope you watch these film or re-watch them again as I think they're all highly rewarding films!
