Delta Flight Makes Emergency Landing After Serving Spoiled Food

Insert your 'what's the deal with airline food?' jokes here - a Delta flight from Detroit to Amsterdam had to be diverted after passengers were served a spoiled meal. The flight was forced to make an emergency landing at JFK Airport in New York, where medical crews treated the affected passengers. 277 passengers were on board the flight, though it's not know how many were sickened. A Delta spokeswoman offered an apology: "This is not the service Delta is known for and we sincerely apologize to our customers". The airline is investigating.
